How do the QR codes work?
Every page in the journal has a small QR code printed on it. When you're ready to save an entry, open the Journalfy app and scan the code. It opens your phone camera so you can photograph your handwritten page. The photo is saved to your trip in the app, and you can add extra photos from the day too. The whole process takes about 30 seconds.
Can I use the app without the physical journal?
Yes. The Journalfy app works as a standalone digital travel journal too. You can create trips, write entries using prompted, open, or sketch templates, and add photos. The app is free to download on iOS and Android. If you love the app and want the handwriting experience, the physical journal is always here for you.
What's the difference between the Prompted and Freestyle editions?
The Prompted Edition has 180 pages of guided prompts to help you write. Things like noteworthy activities, memorable eats, special moments shared, and a smell or experience to help you remember the day. The Freestyle Edition has 122 blank lined pages plus 20 sketching pages for people who prefer to write (or draw) without structure. Both editions have QR codes, the free companion app, a world map, pen holder, and back pocket.
